With a critical shortage of nurses in our region, the demand for nurses is great. At BMCU, prospective nurses experience quality learning in our high-fidelity state-of-the-art simulation labs. Our excellence-driven, Christ-centered instruction, delivered by expert faculty, is designed to produce compassionate professional nurses who are equipped to meet the challenges of the ever-changing profession.
The Traditional BSN track is a full-time cohort-based 120 credit hour program that is completed over four years (8 semesters). The curriculum consists of 60 general educational credit hours and 60 major educational credit hours. Upon completion of the curriculum, the graduate nurse is eligible for the NCLEX-RN board exam and to begin serving as a professional nurse.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum meets state educational requirements for professional licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). To determine the state requirements for professional nursing licensure as an RN, please visit the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) webpage, http://www.ncsbn.org/14730.htm, then select the state where you want to know the professional licensure requirements.
The RN-BSN track is a cohort-based 30 credit hour program that is offered as a full-time one-year program or a part-time program that is completed in two years. The part-time RN to BSN Program will start in Spring 2023 and the full-time RN to BSN Program will begin in Spring 2024.
